When it comes to fake tan use, orange is the new brown across the UK's more northerly cities where the sun doesn't shine much. Use of fake tan is divisive with many feeling it gives them that perfect summer look while others consider it hideous with unnaturally orange overtones. According to YouGov, Belfast is officially the UK's capital for take tan with 19 percent of people applying it to themselves or professionally over the past 12 months. Sunderland comes second at 15 percent while Liverpool rounds off the top three with 10 percent.
