American Views On The Charlottesville White Nationalists

An interesting HuffPost/YouGov poll conducted after the clashes in Charlottesville (though before the president's turbulent press conference in Trump Tower) shows what the U.S. public thinks about the white nationalists involved in the unrest. 60 percent of Americans are angry about last weekend's events and, unsurprisingly, there is a significant amount of partisan division about the violence.

77 percent of Trump voters think the president did enough to condemn the trouble compared to just 4 percent of Clinton voters. Perhaps most interestingly, however, 37 percent of Trump voters say the white nationalists "went too far but have a point" while 11 percent say they were "mostly right".
