Coca Cola vs. Pepsi, Nike vs. Adidas, McDonald's vs. Burger King - some of the biggest brand rivalries of the last century. Nowadays though it's all about Apple vs. Samsung, or, iOS vs. Android. Backing up this assertion, the new Global Consumer Survey 2018 from Statista has revealed that 63 percent of U.S. adults say they pay particular attention to brands when buying smartphones - more than for any other category, including fashion (53 percent) and food/drinks (42 percent).
