Britain's ambassador to the EU has formally triggered the UK's departure from the union. Negotiations with other EU members are expected to begin in May with Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty giving both sides two years to reach an agreement. That means the UK will leave on 29 March 2019, unless both sides agree to an extension in talks. The following infographic uses data from IHS Markit and it shows that Britons are becoming increasingly pessimistic about the economic impact of Brexit. In July 2016, 39 percent of people thought the economy would improve post-Brexit but this month, that has fallen to just 30 percent. Read more in the indy100.
