Sex, Lies, and Dating Apps in the UK

Apps such as Tinder have revolutionised the dating game in the smartphone era, making sex - if not love - more attainable for singles than ever. But is this instant, easily accessible style of matchmaking fostering infidelity, too? As data from the latest edition of Statista's Global Consumer Survey shows, 3 in 10 UK smartphone users that regularly use dating apps are either married or in a relationship.

A shade of caution should be used when interpreting these results though, due to the relatively small sample size of dating app users and the natural tendency to be dishonest when answering such a question - even for an anonymous survey.
