Nearly 3 in 10 PCs Still Run Windows XP

Yesterday, Microsoft ceased support for its Windows XP operating system, a move that will impact some 300 million computers across the globe. Nearly 3 in 10 PCs still run on Windows XP, some 12 years after its debut. Windows 7 is still the world’s number one operating system, powering almost 50 percent of PCs globally. Windows XP comes second with almost 28 percent while Windows 8 rounds off the top three with 11.3 percent.
