Guest spending habits recognized by European hoteliers

According to the 2023 Fall European Accommodation Barometer, the biggest spending habit trend recognized by European hoteliers was that their guests were booking further in advance. Over half the respondents to the survey across 22 countries noticed this trend. A large proportion of the hotelers surveyed also indicated that guests were more likely to opt for cheaper rooms (47%) or book shorter stays (44%).

The Fall 2023 European Accommodation Barometer is the second study of hoteliers conducted by Statista in collaboration with Booking.com, surveying accommodation executives and managers from across Europe.
