The Lucrative World of Horse Racing

The Dubai World Cup one of the most prestigious horse races in the world, taking place on April 5. It will be broadcast in 170 countries worldwide, according to the Dubai Racing Club. With a prize fund of 12 million U.S. dollars, it is among the most lucrative events of its kind.

According to Statista, only two horse races offer a higher prize purse: The Saudi Cup in Saudi Arabia and The Everest in Australia - both are offering a prize of 20 million U.S. dollars.
